West Point Admissions Information Meeting

Please let your students---especially those in grades 9 through 11--- know that there will be a West Point Admissions Information Meeting for students possibly interested in gaining an appointment to West Point.  It will be at the Argonne Public Library in Spokane, Sunday afternoon, April 30th, from 2 to 3 PM.  Academy graduates and parents of two local current cadets will provide an overview of the academy and the admissions process.  Parents are also encouraged to attend.

In addition this year, one of our local graduates, LTC(Ret) Alan Westfield '79, currently a Senior ROTC Instructor at Gonzaga, one of the premier ROTC programs in the country, will share his recent experience as a consultant to the U.S. Army commanding general in Afghanistan.  Alan will focus on the dynamics of our current experience in the Middle East and the cultural, psychological, and problem-solving challenges facing our new young leaders, and we'll explain how the  four-year education at West Point, including 37 typical collegiate majors, has very much shifted to meet those challenges

Lots of time for Q&A.  All are invited.
