Graduation Update

You will be given time slots based on last name alpha and you will come to West Valley at that designated time driven by an immediate family member(s). We will have staff direct cars as they arrive. It will be important that you arrive only at your designated time. When your car arrives at an outdoor stage area you will exit your vehicle (graduate only, ALL other passengers MUST remain in the vehicle at ALL times), remove your mask and be filmed having your name read, marching across the stage, claiming your diploma, having a photo taken, exiting the stage and returning to your car.

All of these video clips of each senior will then be put together and included into the virtual ceremony video that we will put together and air at a later date so that seniors and families can have a ‘watch party’ to review the entire video ceremony which will include (school program list such as Pomp and Circumstance, other musical numbers, student speeches, the Pledge, a principal farewell, etc.

We know this isn’t the full-meal deal that you’d hoped for. But we are committed to giving you absolutely everything we can. Please plan on keeping your calendar clear for SUNDAY, JUNE 14TH – we will send out specific time slots, directions for the vehicle line etiquette, other rules, etc.,  asap – and we are so excited to get your year wrapped up in a big fun way!

Again, this is NOT what any of us wanted, however, after much discussion and clear understanding of limitations that have been determined by the Governor’s office, we strongly believe this is the best option at this time.

Stay tuned for more specifics.
