Fall Sports Conditioning

West Valley Summer 2.0 Conditioning

Fall sport conditioning is coming! We are offering sport conditioning starting Monday, October 12th

For two weeks, West Valley HS will be hosting training sessions for our high school athletes. After the two weeks have been completed successfully, we are hoping to have sport specific skill based training for each sport.

Following the guidelines from the Spokane Regional Health District and West Valley School District, we can bring students on campus for modified conditioning training. The training will look different than the usual camps. Students who register will be placed in pods of 5 athletes. They will stay in the same pod for every day of training. Participants will be expected to wear a mask as much as possible and maintain social distancing during the training sessions. While we are still in COVID Phase 2 as outlined by the Washington State Department of Health, athletes will not be allowed to share sport implements. When Spokane County moves into Phase 3, we will be allowed to share sports equipment and begin to scrimmage and pods will move to 10 per pod. Because of the 5 person per pod requirement, sign-ups will be limited based on space available.

Guardians may sign their student(s) up with their Skyward account login and under the CONFERENCES tab; find Summer 2.0 and select a time. There will be two time slots that will be available. Training sessions will be 3:15pm-4:15pm and 4:45pm-5:45pm*. Choose the session that works best and then students will be assigned to one of four groups based on time slot and availability; A, B, C, or D. Once all students have been assigned, we will send a confirmation email out with details regarding schedule and requirements.

*Students may only attend one (1) training session each day and will be assigned to only one group. Pods will meet 2 or 3 times per week.

All participants will be required to sign in and confirm a daily health screening. This will be done via a health check app. A cell phone to access the app  will be required to enter.
