Attention Students - If you sold pies for the all school fundraiser, they will be ready for pick up after school on Tuesday November 22nd in the Commons. Veteran's Day Video

Johnathan Danker is a Junior at West Valley HS. He also holds the rank of Life Scout with the Boy Scouts in Troop 468 and is currently working on his Eagle Scout project. An Eagle project is the opportunity for a Boy Scout to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community.
For the past 5 weeks, with the help of fellow scouts, friends and family Johnathan has been collecting video footage from meetings with local service men and women from the Spokane community who were willing to share their military experiences and explain what Veteran's Day means to them.
After collecting several hours of footage, Johnathan put together a video to help his generation have a better understanding of the importance of Veteran's Day and why we need to acknowledge these brave men and women.

WV Band and Color Guard are heading to New York!

The countdown has begun. In several weeks our WV Band and Color Guard will be heading to New York! They will be performing in the Veterans Day Parade on November 11th. Only 15 high school Marching Bands and Color Guard have been invited to participate! If you would like to contribute to this once in a lifetime trip, donations are still being accepted at all Banner Banks. There will be a rehearsal on October 31st on the track from 4:30 to 6pm and a "Send Off" Concert on November 7th at 7pm in the Main Events Gym. The Community is welcome at both of these events!
