West Point Informational Meeting

There will be an informational West Point Admissions meeting for students and their parents on Sunday, October 23rd from 1:30 to 3pm at the Argonne Library (4322 N. Argonne). This is an opportunity to learn more about West Point, the application and admission process and about leadership careers as an Army officer.

All seniors in Spokane are invited to our “Writing a Fantastic Personal Essay” GEAR UP Family Night on Wednesday, October 19th from 6-7 pm in the WVHS Theater. Congratulations WV Drum Majors

Our senior Drum Majors, Michael Adamson and Taylor Roderick, were named the Best Drum Majors at the 2016 Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championships. They were selected from 14 high schools, including several 4A schools. Congratulations on an outstanding job!!!

Congratulations WVHS Engineering Students

Three West Valley High School Engineering students were chosen by Boeing to be special guests of the Seattle Seahawks. Cameron Geiger, Ella Major, and Sydney Stone were selected because of their commitment to their school work, demonstration of leadership, and work in the community. The students were given Seahawk attire, had a meet and greet with the players, provided lunch with way too many Skittles, and were seated with other Legion of Youth students from around the state.

FAFSA Completion Workshop

Senior families are invited to attend a FAFSA Completion Workshop on October 12th, 6 - 8pm. Students and parents are encouraged to attend together and drop in anytime during the 2 hour workshop to complete the FAFSA application with support from financial aid and school staff. 30-40 minutes is recommended. Items to bring: 1) 2015 federal tax information or returns for student and parent. 2) Social security number for student and parent. 3) FSA ID for student and parent. Eagle Pride - Rooter Buses

As part of our Eagle Pride promotion this year, we want to get as many students as we can to some of the Fall Sports events. There will be "Rooter Buses" to take students to certain games. Let's show our school spirit and get out and support our teams!

Homework Center

Homework Center is now open Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 3:40 in the Library. All students are welcome. They can work on assignments or college applications. A math teacher will be available to help with homework.
