Ashley brings over 20 years of experience in both public and international education. She has served as a principal, statewide leadership coach, and systems-level change leader in Washington, Shanghai and Bogotá. Her leadership reflects a deep belief that when students feel like they truly belong, they are better able to achieve and succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
Throughout her career, Ashley has been known for her ability to build strong relationships, foster collaborative cultures, and design student-centered programs that respond to individual learning needs and school-wide goals. As a principal, she implemented a flexible, student-driven course schedule that increased access to both support and enrichment, while promoting student voice and choice.
Ashley is also excited to continue and build upon the strong PLC work already underway at WVHS. She values the power of collaborative teams to improve student outcomes and believes in using data, reflection and shared responsibility to meet the diverse needs of every learner. Her leadership will support us in deepening that work to ensure that every student is known, challenged and supported.
Ashley lives in Liberty Lake with her husband (also an educator), their two children—one attending Central Valley High School and the other Gonzaga University—and their dog Linda. She enjoys pickleball, country line dancing, live music and exploring Spokane’s food scene.
