Olympic Torch Assembly & Special Olympics Fundraiser

What a day at West Valley High School! On Thursday, May 18th, our Leadership class organized an incredible assembly! In light of the fact that WV has an Olympic Torch (1984 Games in LA) on display in our cross-country case, they completed a fundraiser for Special Olympics. Our dedicated, hardworking students raised $527.40 to be donated to the Special Olympics. The project culminated with an amazing assembly! Our student body created the Olympic Rings on the football field and the torch was carried for a lap around our track. Pride was the word of the day! Proud of our students giving nature, proud of how they worked together and proud of their positive attitude towards such a great cause! 🥇🎖🏅
