The Lilac Bloomsday Association is sponsoring Gio’s trip, where he will race against top runners from 11 other Western states as well as U.S. citizens in overseas military installations. Gio is coming off a highly successful cross country season, including a 10th place medal in the State Championship meet on November 3rd, which earned him this trip to the Foot Locker meet.
